Chaplains: Providing Support, Guidance, and Direction

Then

Our founder, Louis Brisson, spent much of his ministry as chaplain to the monastery of the Visitation of Holy Mary in Troyes. He built upon the service St. Francis offered the Visitation Sisters. Bl. Brisson wanted his community to be with the people and head feet-first into the world.

Centuries later, the Oblates came to the United States because they were invited by the Sisters of Divine to serve as their chaplains.

Now

Today, the Oblates continue this ministry as chaplains to individuals from all walks of life. We journey with those serving in the military, studying in high schools and universities, facing crises in hospitals, working as first responders, and living with physical challenges.

“Remain close to the Savior in meditation and observing His words, His actions, and His loving desires, we shall learn with the help of His grace to speak, act, and will like Him.”

St. Francis de Sales

“How do we reach the world, and attract it to us, to save it? We must jump in with both feet, even if it means getting splashed with mud!”

Bl. Louis Brisson
