“Moving into the Ecumenical Future”
A Reading Guide
Reading Guide
The goal of this “Moving into the Ecumenical Future” Reading Guide is to assist Catholic parishioners, priests, students, seminarians, members of Ecumenical groups, and any interested Christians with some of the history of ecumenicism and the progress accomplished over the last two centuries.
Most important, though, its purpose is not only to read Fr. Crossin’s book but also to gather together with other Christians to learn, pray, grow spiritually, and listen to the Holy Spirit. (Guide in process)
“What we are listening for is not agreement but the voice of the Holy Spirit coming to us through others. We cannot limit the Spirit’s speaking to people we like or agree with us.
Sometimes it is the least likely person who speaks God’s word as we walk together and converse. Often, we only realize that God was speaking later when we are mulling over or praying over our conversation.”
Fr. John W. Crossin, OSFS
