Salesian Schools Honored at St. Francis de Sales Awards Convocation

On April 24th, the 2024 St. Francis de Sales Awards Convocation, the Most Reverend William E. Koenig, Bishop of the Diocese of Wilmington, honored graduating seniors from schools across the Diocese with the St. Francis De Sales Outstanding Catholic School Award. Winners are recognized for excellence in faith development, service, scholarship, citizenship, and leadership.

The Saint Francis de Sales Award Medal was cast in recognition of this annual convocation. The medal features Saint Francis de Sales, patron of the Diocese of Wilmington. The reverse side of the medal bears the invocation, “St. Francis de Sales, pray for us.” Around the medal is the inscription “Diocese of Wilmington – Outstanding Catholic School Senior.”

St. Francis de Sales is the patron saint of the Catholic Diocese of Wilmington.
