A Joyous Day for the Oblate Sisters!

Yesterday was a wonderful celebration at Mount Aviat Academy! Sr. Rachel was received into the novitiate of the Oblate Sisters by Mother Maria Rita, the Superior General of the Oblate Sisters, who is visiting from France. Sr. Rachel received of her habit, which is white to signify she is a Novice, and is now Sr. Rachel Therese!

Fr. Paul Colloton, OSFS, who serves as Chaplain for the Oblate Sisters and Mt. Aviat Academy, was the presider for the Mass. Fr. Michael Vogt, OSFS, and Fr. Sean Mahoney, a friend of the Sisters, concelebrated.

Congratulations also to Sr. Lawrence Therese, OSFS, who celebrated 60 years as an Oblate Sister and renewed her commitment to the Oblate Sisters.
